Confused About Optional Software

Hey Guys,

I just registered my MPC on the Akai site and noticed the optional virtual instruments and Legacy Expansions.

Can you tell me which programs work in stand alone mode? The whole reason I got the Live was to get away from computers .

Optional - AIR Virtual Instruments (MPC Live)
Optional - Virtual Instruments (MPC Live)
Optional - Legacy Expansions (MPC Live)

Optional - AIR Virtual Instruments (MPC Live) NO. THEY ONLY WORK ON THE SOFTWARE.

Optional - Virtual Instruments (MPC Live) YOU HAVE INSTRUMENTS THEY WORK ON THE LIVE.
Optional - Legacy Expansions (MPC Live) EXPANSIONS BOTH PC AND SOFTWARE.

I bought an expansion pack with nasty samples.

If I like a Wav synth stab, how do I spread that Wav to play over a whole grid, changing the notes? Would that be considered a new key group or a new kit?

Ahhhh,

Just saw the video about this on the other thread. It just changed my outlook 100 percent on the live. I can use any stab or sample for a synth on my midi controller keyboard!

Lmao lol yeah l asked about that.

I'm already doing that in Reason on the NNXT and save them as patches. I can take one 808 middle C-Note and abd spread it across my midi keyboard. Really dope. Now l can do it in live.
