Hooking KP3 Plus to the MPC Live?

Hello,

I recently got a KP3, and wanted to use it in conjunction with my MPC Live. Basically, create loops on the MPC, send them to the Kp3 where I can scrub the beats with the affects of the KP3, and add vocals with a mic plugged into the Kp3.

First question, would you recommend that I get an audio mixer for this set up?

Or do you think I can just run the loops directly into the KP3 from the MPC, without the audio mixer?

I eventually want to take this set up to live gigs, so I assume an audio mixer will be needed at some point.

Other question, how would you recommend I set the mic up with this MPC Live and Kp3 set-up. If I had the audio mixer, would I plug the mic into that...and send it to either the MPC Live or KP3?

I use a kaoss pad 3 plus with Live.
Both go to a mixer and I connect the kp to the aux of mixer in send return.
It works great.
Its very useful also to sample on the fly and let the sample goes while I change project on Live

I dont know about this mixer. If it has one or two aux send it should be ok.
Or you can route a send of Live to the 3/4 output of Live and connect it to Kaoss Pad inputs and then connect the kp outputs to a mixer channel.
I use a Mackie Onyx and it works great.
You can find it used for not much more then the behringer.
Anyway any mixer with an aux send can do the job.
