Hello all! Just purchased a MPC Live, my first MPC. Bought it to use mainly as a loop player to use in an improvisational group. I’m finding it difficult, however, to use it as such.
I’d love to be able to hit a pad and have it continuously loop that sample. I’ve tried setting samples to note on, opening the envelope, and then turning on the loop option, but I must continue to hold down the pad for it to loop. I even tried to Latch it to no avail.
I’ve heard this might be available in clips mode, but I can’t find any information on how to achieve.
Another example I would love to achieve in live performance is to hit a hi-hat sample and have it loop in say a 1/16 pattern while I “solo” on a kick and snare sample without it being affected by the hi hat settings. Forgive me if this common knowledge. I’m a just rookie.
