Hey, folks,
As my setup grows, I'm having a hard time with my setup logistics. Here's my situation, I'm hoping one of you fine people can help.
My setup currently consists of a Moog Subsequent 37, MPC live, and a Virus TI2 desktop, played with a separate midi controller. Here's what I'd like to do.
I'd like to set the AKAI as my master clock source, and be able to use it to record/sequence MIDI that's going out to the other two synths. What options do I have, here? I figured I'd put the controller into the midi in on the Live, then send a midi out to the Virus and another to the Moog. What I'm not sure of is routing... Do I have 32 channels of MIDI, 16 for each output on the live? Or, is it 16 channels, total, and I just have to specify what channel I'm using on the AKAI? I'm kind of new to all of this. I want to be sure I'm not triggering both synths when I'm using the controller. What would be the easiest way to configure this? Thanks!
