MPC x Touchscreen brightness

Hey guys I just bought an MPC X.

For those who have used or seen both the X and Live, did the screen seem similar to you?

My X's screen is noticeably more dull than the screen on the Live, and both machines are set to "day" in preferences.

I'm pretty sure I got a dud screen but any thoughts would be welcome.

"Yes, they are different, because they're different parts, from different vendors. Our screens are off-the-shelf parts, as we don't meet the minimum quantities for purchasing custom screens someone like Apple would."

i noticed the exact same thing.
it didn't bother me that much once i found out, that this is normal...
