Using and Connecting Interface to MPCX

Hi Guys, I am trying to understand if I should have my Presonus interface (Quantum) connected to my MPCX setup with mac. Some have said it would make the sound better but am not too sure because I haven't used the interface much and put it away after I got the mpcx. Any help understanding would be of great help to me. Also, how would you recommend this to be set up with studio monitors? If the interface will only provide more inputs/outputs I may not be interested but if the sound will be better, I am interested in checking it out. Thank you in advance.

If you're going to track the 8 outs of the MPC X, then use the Presonus interface (Quantum). As far the pres, the Presonus interface (Quantum) is a step up over the MPC X. If your recroding vocals with a Ribbon MiC, then the Quantum is the way to go.

Other than that, you're not really going to see a major improvement, because they MPC X lacks the professional in/outs that you need. Get a MPC 4000 with Wordclock and ADAT and sync it up to the Quantum then you'll be in business.

I dunno man, the MPC X sounds fine to me. I get that for some things you might want the Presonus, but to my taste adding all the extra cables and routing signals around if you're just going to work inside the box it may not be worth it.
