sample editing

uggh for some reason while sample length edited, extract isn't working for me..shows sample portion I would like to keep lit up. portion I would like erased still there but not lit up.Either way unwanted portion is saving in my sample..Please help..

I think you want discard, or do not realize that extract is making a new sample without destroying source material.

Because you have to be in "Trim" mode, not Chop mode. And it has to be set to "all" in Slice Portion down below
