2.5 warp/sync in browser function

I was excited to hear we can now sync/warp from the browser. I'm just a bit confused as to what kind of files will work with this function? I see in the release notes that it needs to have the tempo embedded.

Any wav files i have with tempo embedded, don't appear to work with this function. Does anyone know what kind of embedded files this is intended to work with?

i asked this at GS and 'officlal' (from AKAI rep) answer was:
go to sample edit, fill in the tempo field, save sample -> tempo info embedded

Crap. I was fearing it was going to be something terrible like this.
