Hi - Complete newbi here  so apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I scrolled and searched (here and the manual and internet) and cannot find the answer.

MPC Live in standalone!

I want to trigger a pad (on) from an external device - either a nanopad 2 via a usb or a keyboard via midi but I want to choose/assign what external pad/key triggers which MPC Live pad?

How do I do that?

Thanks

Plug in the external controller via USB or midi into the MPC

Edit the midi notes on the external controller to match the certain pad. The information should be in the midi implementation section in the mpc manual

I have an MPD218 and have pad banks B,C,D mapped to it, very nice for performing. ( side note, you cannot have the note repeat on the MPD218 receive external clock via USB from the MPC Live, it doesnt seem to work)

Also I assume midi learn under "midi control" should work too
