I really wish Akai considers to add some granulator or stutter effect on Mpc fx arsenal.
I really miss something like that.
I was considering to buy some external one but I noticed there is a sort of gap on the market.
Someone suggested an Octatrack to use with external inputs but too expensive and complicated for me.
Mpc has all the potential to have a good granulator, it could be even put on XY that at the moment is so weak I can never use it.

yes this... I would love this. I have to make it myself on the mpc by resampling which is a pain at times, use software once I'm done my beat, or I could buy hardware like the tasty chips gr-1 or buy a fx deformer from gotharman. still too expensive tho. the gr-1 is a raspberry pie more or less.

you can do some basics in sample edit mode, move play cursor while triggering samples, switch loop modes, back fwd play modes, emmulating what a digitakt does in a fairly clunky way

Yes I tried this way, not so fast or comfortable though.
Any not too expensive external device to suggest?

Nah no iOS allowed here, some hardware better

Korg kp3? It might be the cheapest solution but I am not sure it's really what you're trying to do.

Yes at the moment I have that, a KP3+.
I like it, but i was looking for something more granular like MI clouds

Uh... we've had granular effects since MPC 2.10, over 8 months ago. Keep up! jk

The granular is ok.... I wish it worked like the Grain-Stretch in Maschine because that is whats up. This effect is more like it slightly grains and then adds a reverb. It works. Its alright but Grain-Stretch is a lot more precise and can work like a Stutter, which the MPC's Beat Repeat is weak... So it could use it.

I just got a GR-1 and there's not much else like it. Agreed it is too expensive. GAS took me over when I put it in the cart lol

Thats pretty cool man. I seen a jungle producer I like uses it. Seems interesting. How do you like it so far?
