Midi Issues

I'm using the MPC live as the brain for a live setup and have run into issues with syncing the gear. The main issue is that the transport controls simply won't work on the external gear. I can stop midi clock being sent to the Analog Rytm but I can't start it. I tried the reverse, switching the AR to be ending transport and clock but that hasn't done anything either. My setup is now pretty much broken over really quite a simple issue like midi clock. Would greatly appreciate assistance.

Not sure if you have already checked but with elektron gear you need to set ‘transport receive’ to on in the midi settings as well as clock receive

Yes, I did that already and that's what is strange. I can stop playback from the MPC but can't start it so there is some transport data being sent but not all of it. I haven't had this issue with other machines so I fear it is the Rytm that doesn't like what's going on. Can't understand why though as it's not exactly complicated what I am trying do!
