Does anyone know if its possible to map the midi fighter to the mpc live pads?

The midi fighter editor doesnt let you input notes to the buttons.

I have mapped my mpd218 via the MPD editor so no matter what project I'm on , its mapped exactly to the mpc banks

It seems the midi fighter only works via DAW or DJ software and you cannot send note mappings via USB from the midifighter editor

To be clear, So you can only map to the pads while using software? Or do you just need the software to create templates for the midi fighter? I’ve been considering buying the twister but I only use standalone on the live. It seems that when you press down on the twister knob it can serve as a different function.. ideally I’d like to assign different “banks” on the twister, ex.

I’d like to have freedom to control indiv pad levels, maybe one return and also use the twister to control start/end points in sample edit. Is the midi fighter twister capable of all features of the X’s Q-link section?
