Track Mute issue?

Hey all, so I have some tracks trying to do quantized track mutes,
The first track plays fine, then when I have that muted, and the next rack unmuted, I dont get anything at all.
Nothing after the first 8 bars (thats how long each track is) will play.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong here?
Yes I have record on, and am seeing the tracks muting/ unmuting, but no sound after the first 8 bars.

I figured it out! My fault, of course. I was mistaking mutes as a pad play... so basically, everything was looped for 8 bars... so naturally, after 8 bars there is nothing
