Pad volume reset..????

Hi all,

Question:

I set the volume levels of certain pads to the level I want, but when I press "Play Start", they reset to 0dB....

How do I set a volume level of a pad, and have it stay at that level...and NOT reset to 0dB once I press "Play Start"?

Make sure you didnt accidentally record the faders moving as automation! Ive done that a few times now, where I finished a recording pass and forgot the MPC goes into overdub mode, and Ill hit a tracks mute button or something to listen to what I just did and it recorded it. That annoys the crap out of me that I can't remember to hit the overdub button first every time haha.
