Hey guys,

i am new to the mpc world and i think the start with an mpc live is a bit easier then with an classic one. Dont know :)

I am struggle with uploading samples. Is it not possible to just drag and drog , or copy or what ever, folders from an external device to the mpc storage? I just find the way that you upload single samples or even a bunch of samples. But is there now way to upload complete folders and use these folders? Do i need an external device like an sc card for that?

I am just wondering because that beast is in the position to do a lot of crazy things, but a simple filemanager is not included?

So really looking forward to get some help and hopefully find out that i am really new to mpc and the solution is simple :)

Thanks
All the best
Lukas

To do this you want to use controller mode, so your PC will mount the MPC as a storage device (among other things)... however... you cannot access the internal storage in this mode... and can only mount a) an installed drive (mounts on the bottom), sd card, or a USB drive.

You're probably misunderstanding that the internal drive that the device comes with cannot be mounted. Internally it is a micro sd card, but it also contains all the firmware, and isn't something you want to be making changes to.

My suggestion is to use a USB drive, SD card, or mount an internal SSD/HDD of some kind for storing your programs, projects, etc...
