Got my MPC Live earlier this month. Upgraded from a Studio Black. Love it so far, but think I have a lemon. After using it for a while, sound through the headphone jack cuts out. If I reboot it, sometimes it comes right back and other times it only comes back at very low volume. Can barely hear the sound even at max. I thought it was my headphones at first, but tried a few pair and also some computer speakers. Same issue on all. Also tried flashing the firmware to see if that helps. No luck. Anyone else have a similar issue? Just emailed Akai support to see what my options are.

If you just bought it, I'd return it. I borrowed a friend's Live to test it out, and never had this sort of issue. Out of curiosity what headphones or speakers? Wondering if it's an impedance thing.

Tried a pair of Audio Technical ATH-M30x, a pair of usb powered Samsung computer speakers, regular set of Apple headphones, and a pair of Beats Studio Bluetooth headphones using the 1/8” cord connection. Same issue with all. I don’t have anything I can connect via RCA or 1/4” at the moment to test.

Return it.

Akai is going to replace it for me. It's on it's way back to them now.
