Strange anomaly when synced to Logic

Hi Guys
ive a bit of an issue.
Its taken me 6 months to find out the method of syncing my MPCX to Logic Pro X. I have posted about this here and the answer never rose, but eventually found a post on the web to show me.
All I wanted was to have logic control the transport and tempo of a project. Press play on logic and the MPC follows. Nothing more complex.
So happy that id finally got it working how I desired ive worked on a couple of projects. This week ive tried to use it in this fashion. Imagine ive pressed play (on logic) and I'm going to play a snare, the instant I hit the snare the mpc seizes up and non sounds will play until I restart it. The only resolution is to remove the midi cable. Let me be clear, this was working just fine a few weeks before. Any clues please guys? Thanks Lee

What MacOS are you on?

Since the last update i have no more MIDI inputs from my Yamaha MOTIF synth... Can controll the Synth with the MPC but not the MPC with the MOTIF...... damn so many bugs on the MPCX

What Operating System on the Mac are you on?

It most likely is the OS update. Akai, Waves, Air and a whole list of others related to music production and DJing have advised not to update to Catalina until there are known comparability updates implemented. I have two computers that don't have Catalina installed.
