Change order of sequences in a project for a gig

Hi all, I tryed to find the topic on this forum when it was explained.

On my MPC LIVE I have a 120 sequences project containing all the live set of my band ( drums / samples / midi sequences / q link etc... )

For a particular gig next week I need to change the order of the tracks ( for example, sequence 17 to 25 would now be at the ending of the show.)

Can't use Song Mode because I need hand on on every mode of MPC ( QLINK / PAD AND TRACK MUTES / NEXT SEQ / LOOPER / MAIN , etc..°

I know i can't copy and paste every single sequence , or save them one by one but it's a PITA

So I tried to rename all the sequences in the good order directly on my computer, that's was quick but it looks like the "AllSEQ " files keep the old names and the old order when I load the modified project in my mpc back.

So anyone has a hint ? Thanks

So I find a work around, I post it there for others

First : WHY AKAI didn't develop the possibility to do this It's so necessary to manage sequences ? (and tracks ?) ..
Second :Is anyone able to program a little app to quickly modify the " all seqs and samples" files and prokect.xpj files ? These files are written in .xml, and you need to modify them to reorganize a full big project of 120 sequences.


So : I create a new project and load every programs needed from the original project "hidden folder" in the browser

Then : I go to the main view and select the sequences one by one in my new project , then I load the sequences of the original project one by one in the good order and at the wanted position

20 mn of concentration and it's done, lot shorter than copying and moving the 120 sequences playing a mental puzzle.


BUT : you don't get your fx plugins / returns / locators / Channels mixers position . So you need to open the .xpj file and "allseqand samples" files in TEXT EDIT to modify the new project's files . it's quite feasible in TEXT EDIT by copying and paste in those two xml files.

That's why would be very cool to get a small app that write the xml files in the way we want, like a tool to manage sequences / names/ project settings directly from the projects files, because AKAI is'nt ABLE TO GIVE US ONE

I'd love the ability to simply move sequences. That'd be greatness.
