Any success in getting MPC Live to trigger Digitakt patterns

So, I've had my Digitakt for a while, I love it, but considering my Live is the brain of my system, I want to be able to get the Live to trigger pattern changes on the Digitakt, but as some of you may know, the Digitakt doesn't change the pattern unless the change is sent before the current one ends, so it's effectively useless in terms of getting it into my system. Anyone come up with any workarounds? What about LIST EDITOR VIEW? I haven't used that part of my live, yet, is there a way to perhaps send that program change to the DT before that current sequence ends?

Anyone successfully using the DT with their Live? If so, how do you do it?

I'm also interested in seeing if the MPC Live can change patterns of the elektron octatrack.

I've tried this doing for the mpc1000 with my digitone. Not gonna work, and i'm really doubtfull you can do it with the live / digitakt either.

You could however, sequence the digitakt sounds via your MPC, it's really easy to do, and gets what you are after.

I'm wondering though, why you would need a digitakt besides the mpc live? The live can do everything the digitakt can and more. Except for polyrhytmic patterns...

Yes you can do this. There is video on utube called controlling the digitakt with the mpc live. Just type in mpc digitakt and you will find. I haven't tried the cc message part but the first part of what the video explains works well.

I like the workflow of the Digitakt, it seems easier for me to get my beats out.

That's the one video I've seen, but what he's doing isn't what I want to do, I'd like to have it when I switch to a new sequence, it switches a pattern on the DT. That's where the problem is, apparently.

If you use 2 elektron boxes together, you can trigger pattern changes easily. In the case of using an MPC, the only option is inserting program changes into the mpc sequences.

I understand. I like the workflow on the digitone and analog four too You could also look into the octatrack or analog rhythm and sell the mpc and digitakt. Like posted before, elektron machines work flowlessly together with pattern change sends to other elektron gear.

Is there a way to do that in a sequence at some place other than the beginning of the sequence?

I'm not sure , I've never tried it

the live works ok as a master sync for the digitakt, program change pretty sure last i looked couldnt be done, the 2 machines work pretty well together for the most part tho that has been a limitation in the digitakts midi for awhile, dope sampler and software, so slick makes the mpc live seq and gui look 30yrs old
