MPC Stuff fat pads; are they a good upgrade?

Has anyone used the MPC Stuff fat pads? I was wondering about switching to these for a minor upgrade hoping they feel softer then the original pads on the Live which seem a bit firm to me.

Haven't tried the fat pads on the X/Live/One... so cannot speak to that... but they definitely felt like an upgrade on the MPC 1k. I guess the 1k numbed me enough that I actually thought the Live/X pads were good enough as they were.

I too am now curious what others think

That’s a tough install on these current gen machines. The fat pads are nice on the 1000 though.

Yeah @Crumb$, watch an install vid and make sure you're up for it. It's not like the older units.

I'm happy with the default pads, but considered fat pads just for a color change. Seeing the process changed my mind quick.

Lol... the transparent pads for better led fx looked cool but yeah the vids made me think otherwise... and I work on hardware that is finicky like this frequently...

It is not to say it is hard as much as it just was not worth the squeeze for me.

Yeah I saw the video a while ago and dismissed the idea for a while, but then got back to considering it. If someone came on here and said they did it and noticed an improvement like an increase in rebound then I think I'll do it.

I liked them for the 2000XL but l like the live pads.

On the 1k basically everything was an improvement of the original pads

Ontopic: I really like the mpc live pads. Don't need an upgrade. But you are getting an opinion from a first 1k user who dealt with shitty pads for 15+ years
