Amen to that. I started out with just the software and like 4 days later ponied up and bought the MPC Studio. It made moving through the software about 1000x more efficient hah.

I made loads of tracks and recorded vocals into the MPC X. It's not just the software, the hardware now is capable enough for more than sample/MIDI-based music production. This whole song, vocals included, was recorded and mixed on the MPC X.

The desktop software... It's pretty much the worst designed software on the market. But the TUI software that runs on the Live, X, and One is fantastic IMHO.
