MPC One.. SD card in MPC not visible on laptop

Hi guys,

Annoying issue, I can’t access SD card in the mpc card reader from the laptop to transfer files from laptop to card reader. I tried 2 SDHC cards, 2 usb cables also with 1 thumb drive, nothing.

I also installed the mpc drivers on the laptop.
Is the SD card formatting process different from the mpc one than the Live? I followed that procedure and all is see on the mpc is “looking for computer” and nothing shows up on laptop.

I dont think the One does USB like the Live/X do.. Tutor mentioned it somewhere around here.

In controller or standalone mode, the computer does not see any attached storage. It's a weird thing to disable.

In that case, did you have to format you SD cards at any point to make them work on both the mpc one and laptop?

Or could you just use them straight away?
If so, which SD card model specifically worked for you? And finally, we’re the SDs brand new?

No formatting needed and it's not your unit. However if you must format: ExFat.

The new SD Card isn't going to work the way you want it to either. You have to eject the SD Card or Flash Drive from the MPC One and plug it into your laptop if you want to transfer files. Then pop it back into the MPC. So far this has been the only feature I've missed since switching from Live to One.

Rad those are a little cheap than Amazon! Ive been thinking of grabbing one of those for my E-Mu. I have a San Disk Extreme in it now that's 130MB/sec and the thing is slow as **** loading and writing banks to it. God forbid I ever have to wait for it to 'SCAN FAT SYSTEM' when its getting ready to make an undo file. I can actually get up and go smoke before it finishes scanning and finally performs whatever function Im trying to do to a sample. I wanted to see if the 170MB/sec card made any difference. Found a Lexar that runs at 256MB/sec but Id rather get a Sandisk I can trust heh.

With the emu, I don't think you're going to benefit from the speed.

Its kinda sad, the internal IDE hard drive is way faster than the SCSI2SD drive even. It doesn't even blink when loading/saving/operating at all, but the SCSI2SD takes long ass pauses to do anything, it's painful.

Its just waaaaaaay easier to get samples onto an SD card then it is to pull the thing out of the rack, open it up, take out the drive, etc.

I wonder what is causing the bottle neck? What emu machine are you using?
