I think of it like carrying your phone in a case that has a built-in battery to double your talk-time, etc. If you're in the field away from power with your Live and having a banging session, and hit that 5-6 hour mark when your battery is out of juice, having an extra battery/power source to stretch your mobile time to a longer session would be extremely useful.

I think you're headed for disaster, since that battery doesn't supply the required DC 19 volts that the Live 2, One, and X requires. It only supplies 7.2 volts...

I would suggest you actually read this thread, starting on page 1 here:

Don't worry about amps; it's the voltage you need to be concerned about.

Sure, Charlie. And no one uses their phone more than a few hours a day...

That's far longer than you use it in a year!

I came to terms with the fact that I can't get a decent battery that looks ok too. I might get a smaller brick with less cables instead

I mean... it's 19 volts. Let us know how it works out for you!

i am still very satisfied with my ac power bank from polaroid for outside use, but:

Someone tried this out? https://www.thomann.de/gb/myvolts_ripco ... ImVuIn0%3D

i am not sure how to use this - regular powerbanks will not fit, right? and ones with up to 20v cost the same like ac power banks, so the advantage of this ripcord capble would be less space with a wall plug with usb power socket, right?

the german review under the product says: it's working only on his/her laptop usb port (strange...) while not with some powerbanks or usb wall power power supplies. (i don't know what kind of laptop this must be...)

[edit:] addionally, myvolts is emphasizing the compatibility, but only for the chord, at the end. no words, which 20.000 powerbank will fit:
