Hey everyone,

I've been looking all over the internet for this, but just can't seem to find an answer to this simple, yet complicated thing. I'll try to explain the best way I can.

So I import my own drum sounds from an SD-card into a drum track and drum program. Next thing you start playing / recording your drum track into a sequence. Thing is, whenever you hit a pad, it plays the sample entirely. Is there a way it only plays the sample based on the length of your hit? So the samples only plays when you press the pad and stops when you release it. This is something I've been looking for, to shorten open hi-hats. If I press a pad with an open hi-hat right now, it plays the sample entirely.

I have the same thing when I use a drum program and trigger samples like arpeggio's, pads or synth leads.

Hope I've explained this clearly. Many thanks if anyone could help me out.
