Did a search and got a 404, so apologies if this has been asked.

Mpc one arrives in a couple of hours, and when I went to grab a pair of trs cables, there wasn't any.

I have loads of TR cables, which is fine for now, but my question is - will a Y cable be any good?

It's TR x 2 to Trs, and I've never used a y cable outside of an insert effect in a console.

Thought I'd check first ordering a new set of trs.

Cheers

Does this article answer your question? https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/ar ... rs-cables/

Hey Bees, thanks for the reply and the link.
Turns out I had a brand new pair of trs cables hidden in away in a cupboard that I've never used :WTF:

Anyway, now I'm downloading all the software for the one on the website, so I can get cracking!

Cheers

Trying to make sure I get the best signal out of the unit, thay I can.

I want to make use of the stereo effects etc. :-D

TRS isn't going to get you a stereo output (unless coming from the HPJ).... if you're going out from your mains L/R, TRS can get you a balanced signal... but TR will honestly suit you fine in most situations, until you can get TRS cables.

Also of note... TRS really only matters if the entire signal path is balanced... if you don't have this then it really won't help you much at all.
