Quick question regarding chopping

Thinking of grabbing an MPC One or X and I have a question about chopping. On Maschine I tend to drop a sample on pad 1 and set my desired start point. Then I duplicate that to the next pad, set a new start point, then to pad 3 and so on. I see all these different chop options but I prefer to just do this manually. Is that possible on the MPC and if so how?

Thanks in advance as I will be pretty new to this MPC.

Manual

SLICE + to add another slice, cursor to SLICE (jog wheel select each slice).

ASSIGN each slice to a different pad -> press pad to place slice on it.

Read up on lazy chopping or whatever it is called these days... load a sample, and tap out each pad to drop start/end points for each pad as the sample plays... it is super quick and then easy to play clean up with q-links regardless which MPC One/Live/X you are on.
