I have two projects where the automation tab is on read only and I never recorded any automation but as I play the project and move qlink (project mode) they behave as they were recorded.
I also checked list edit but it doesn't show anything.
The solution I found is to switch off the automation tab.
Anyone has same problem?
Is it a bug?

No, you record accidently automation and you need to delete that.

Please check the manual on how to do this. Link in signature.

I didn't record anything.
When I move qlinks, they get recorded even if automation tab is on read only, that's what I am saying.
And list edit is empty.
So why you jump to that conclusion? I know how Mpc works.

I hate how it automatically records every change via channel mixer> programs> mute/solo. i was just feeling things out tapping mute here hitting solo there. the next thing you know mute/solo’s are going on and off like crazy. i did exactly what manual says to do and delete all events and it would not delete the events. i sprouted some gray hairs and gave the X a couple of new names over it. i would repeat the process of deleting the mute/solo events numerous times and it would only delete the events every so often. i thought that there could possibly be a bug as well but there could be something else going on or something did differently during the 500 times i went through process of deleting the events that caused it not to delete. I’m going to get to the bottom of that and figure out i was doing wrong.

Yeah I guess sometimes Mpc has some weird behaviour with automations.
Anyway you can go to preferences and uncheck the box save mute/solo and they should not get recorded anymore.

I wanna know too.

I say it again, since it seems you are kind of suspicious about a plot of unknown users.
In two projects, I have a bug that anytime I move qlinks (project mode) they get recorded even if the automation tab is on read only and list edit doesn't show anything.
It was solved switching off the tab.
I also had same problems with track mutes recording and keep on switching off and on even after unchecking box from preferences. I made the project again from scratch and it was solved.
Your attitude is very unpleasant to say the least.
And no, it's not a plot against your beloved device or brand, I was asking if anyone else had same problem.
I had answers on facebook where other people experienced problems with automation.
So fb was more helpful then your forum.
Thanks a lot.
Have a great time.

Yeah you didn't help at all.
Usually clever people amswer Yes or No when someone asks if they have same problem.
Never mind.
2.8 is coming soon, it looks very very interesting.

You're a proud little bugger aren't ya?

Look at my first reply. I said ''No". And even said more. So i am like your personal einstein now according to your definition of ''clever people''
