Hello,

I have a beat step pro and I wanna know if I can

- sync an MPC One from the Beatstep Pro

- have the 3 tracks of the Beatstep Pro sent real time (midi notes) to 3 MPC One midi tracks

regards

I already know what the beat step pro can do (I use it with Live)

I could not find any answer regarding what the MPC One could do with midi input

I already been disapointed by Akai Force not beeing able to record midi notes, dont want to do the same mistake

You configure midi tracks on main screen. Take a close look at everything on the MPC main screen.

I use my Korg in the SAME way your wanting to use your BS Pro.
Midi chnl 1 on BS to MPC midi chnl 1, configure on main screen.

My Korg midi gets recorded into MPC X midi tracks, I can see and manipulate the recorded Korg notes in grid view.

Again, main mpc menu, midi track is where you wanna be, pg 133 (2.7.2. manual).

thanks for your help
it's hard to figure things just from the manual without owning the device
I still hesitate to buy it but not so much now :-)

I didn’t know you didn’t have One.
I was gonna ask if you tried it yet.

Yes, you can record midi performance fro BS pro to One.
I do the exact same thing with my Korg and Moog into MPC X almost everyday.
Many different midi channels (recorded one at a time).

At one point in time I was even looking at the BS Pro, but it was just me being greedy. I knew it would work though. A few people here use it with the newer MPC’s.

BS pro should be fine.
