Question, let's say I'm using a plugin. I have the same performance in two sequences. There's a LP filter on it as an insert in the mixer. Can I automate that per sequence or is that going to have an effect globally? and if that's a global thing, is there a way for me to make local to the sequence I'm in?

I have a similar question for affecting volume sequence to sequence as well, seems as the automation I'm setting while in Sequence 1, still affects the parameter in Sequence 2.

For anyone else that is recording automation on an insert, if you record automation for it in one sequence, you'll have to have automation tracks in other sequences that the program/plugin exists set to whatever value you want in order for the recorded automation in the previous sequence to not affect the next. This is just what I notice when working from sequence to sequence, if you have them queued up to play one after the other it doesn't seem to be an issue.

As for automating volume, if you need to increase volume over time I suggest doing it via the track view and adjusting the level parameter there. This doesn't seem to affect other sequences when working from sequence to sequence.

Hope I'm not confusing anyone.

Is it even possible to automate an insert? I tried to record automation of a parameter of a plugin that I inserted on one of the tracks, but it doesn't seem to work... I put the MPC Live in write mode and turned the q-link assigned to that parameter. Then back to read but don't hear it changing. List edit stays empty too... Automation on faders and such is working as expected.

Tips anyone?
