Exporting and exploding!!

Ok fellas. I get all my data for my song into the mpc software. I audio mix down, explode tracks so I can mix in reaper but for some reason audio is missing from the wave files.

For instance I use a program that has multiple chops that I play back however Using the pads, I go to the next track and change the chops up some more. Of course I’m using mute groups but it seems that when I bounce the audio it’s picking up the mute from the other track.

I posted this in the software section but nobody responded yet.

I really need to get this stuff tracked out and mixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are the steps you take from when you're at the sequencer to exporting out? You're doing something wrong.

I don't use the software l use standalone and l export my stems perfectly

1. Hook up mpc to laptop
2. Launch program
3. Put mpc into controller mode
4. Playback music, muting pads etc
5. Go to file, export as audio mixdown
6. Check explode tracks

I’m only exporting the 4 or 8 bar loops. I arrange in reaper.

Like I said pieces of the audio will be missing if I use the same program on multiple tracks.

Bruh you're missing a lot. But let me ask you before l try to correct this.
When you produce do you habe all your sounds on track ONE, in the 4 bar loop?

No! Everything is separate. Except if I’m replaying a sample, that’s on the same track but everything else is separate.

Let me clarify. If I’m replaying samples out of a program, every change up will have its own track but the sounds for a particular change will be on the same track

I’m all ears!!

Follow my complete instructions.

1. Make sure your SD or USB stick is exfat formated. Come out of controller mode and take your sample and drums and put them into the MPC and place them on the pads of your desire. Once you get this right then use controller mode and use my instructions. I don't use the software!

2. In your Sequence that you record in you will see "Track 01 & Program001"

3. When you have the sounds you want and ready to record you can record your 4 to 8 bar loop on TRACK 01. Even your samples.

4. Once you have made your pattern on TRACK 01 and you're completely finished, time to explode.

5. EXPLODE! There are 2 types, one in the sequencer and another when its time to export. We will deal with the exploding in your sequencer now.
Once you have made your pattern on TRACK 01 (INCLUDING SAMPLES), its time to explode. Take your finger and tap on TRACK 01 to highlight it. Go to right and you should see a pencil, tap on that. An EDIT window will pop up. You will see EXPLODE, tap that and your sounds will automatically be placed on individual tracks. Remember TRACK01 will be muted. There's nothing wrong.

6. At the top of the Sequence page hit on the icon, it looks kie a folder.

7. PROJECT page will pop up, look at the bottom of that page and you will see EXPORT!

8. Tap on EXPORT , new page will pop up. By default it will say STEREO OUT. take your finger and hit EXPLODE TRACKS, put a check in the empty box. Pick the format you want i.e. wav, MP3 etc. Choose bit depth and sample rate. Once that is done hit EXPORT in the bottom right corner.

9. Make sure your SD or media you want to save to has the red bar next to it.

10. Go to file name and name your file or NEW FOLDER your choice.

11. Hit SAVE and watch it save each track one by one.
Now you will have one muted track called AUDIO001.
The next track will be glitchy. Called PROGRAM001.
Then you will see all your ecploded tracks as stems.

12. Now go ahead and transfer to your favorite DAW with the correct tempo and youre good to go.

Do this until you get use to it then do it in the software.

Still missing portions of audio

Are all programs the same for each sequence?

I have 1 sequence with at least 12 tracks.

Where are you getting your drums from? Internal our your personal drums?
