New Warp algorithm on 2.8

It looks like there is a new warp algorithm coming with 2.8.

If it sounds decent, at least folks can then resample regardless of how much CPU it consumes

That would be a great feature in stand alone for the workflow if it sounds good.

Holy *SHIT* !!!! Pro Ten sounds leagues better than the stock MPC standalone <2.8 algorithm - that's fantastic news!

Yeah... This is kinda crazy. Although the current algo for real time timestretch is trash so the bar was kinda low. Goes further to show that all these people that have floated all manner of tech babble about the hardware and software limitations don't know wtf they are talking about.

Yeah this is definitely interesting. Again, good to see Akai focusing on meaningful enhancements that the platform sorely needs. Hope 2.8 is a sign of a course corrected focus.

It's worth noting that this was ported over from the Force. Further evidence it's helping advance MPC development.

And maybe it means there are more extras on 2.8 they didn't talk about?

This is good news! Looking forward to trying this out.

Counterpoint: seems like a big deal and for Akai to not mention it at all in the promotional videos or even the early beta tester footage from TubeDigga and elsewhere suggests it might not appear in 2.8 after all.

I'm glad they left the other time-stretch the way it is. I use it as an artifact inducing effects.

Does anyone here have a Force that can vouch for the quality of the "Pro Ten" algo? That example video definitely sounds better than the stock "Least CPU" algo, but I've heard Force users aren't particularly impressed with "Pro Ten" either.
