in trouble with the "note on" set up fonction

i'm in trouble with the note on fonction using MPC one with external sequencers
i try with ableton and cirklon sending notes to MPC, i want to use ''note On'' fontion in order that as MPC receive stop note order (release the finger from the note) the sound stop direct.

problem: when i use the mpc pads "note on" fonction work perfectly. when i use external sequencer to send note on (and note off after a while) i just hear the very begining of the sound and then nothing, strange because i send looooong note to the MPC.

i can't figure why. i try with cirklon long note, with push via ableton...

i precise that when i use another instrument (like synth) in the MPC, it receive the time note duration from the external sequencers.
so external sequencers work and MPC receive well note duration... exept for "note on" samples

is anyone can help me please?

Just to make sure I was remembering correctly, I loaded a sample, switched it to Note On in program mode, and was able to play it short/long as a sample from my Access Virus Darkstar keyboard.

Have you tried recording midi from either device to a track to look at the note length? I'd check note length, it is also possible that you might be getting midi loops or there is other data coming over the channel causing problems. Again, I'd try and record the midi notes to the track to see if you can determine what is going on.
