Hi there MPC-FORUMS

Is there a way to record the control change in a midi track?
Fx when Im playing on my Nord Grand and are enabling/disabling the Delay effect, the MPC One receives Control change 97 (in MIDI MONITOR).
I have the automation set to write, but it doesn't record the control change, only the Note on/Note off.

I know its possible to change what midi-cc the q-links sends and record what I do there, but it is a long way around.
-- Is it possible to make q-link settings that only applies to a selected track, and save that as a preset? Fx make a Nord Grand midi track where I have the q-links set to change the right things on the Nord Grand etc?

That could help, but it would still be easier if it would record the Control change as well.

Thanks in advance :-)
Have a nice evening

I don't recall setting anything special on my Access Virus to record CC messages for filter sweeps and such. I also believe that the R/W setting you are referring to is just for recording q-link automation, I don't think it refers to general CC Midi messages.

Have you checked to see if the automation is recorded into the track? I'd also check to see if the Nord Grand is receiving the CC messages if you are able to, or you might need to adjust a setting so that the Nord can receive them in general... Not sure though, I don't have a Nord Grand :/

I use X, OS 2.8, and when Subsequent-37 is midi’d I can control some q-links <-> Moog knobs and automation writes.. Meaning when I turn some Moog knobs the associated midi q-link led/touch screen parameter will also move. I haven’t used CC97 yet, I probably will when I experiment with Kronos2 later on.

Ha NearTao - you're right! It was the nord that didnt read CC on the midi. Now its working - thanks a lot :-)
