Is it just my connection? Or is Getsatisfaction.com Down for the Count?

Dead and gone! Theres a note up that says its been retired.

Well, the Akai specific forum is retired, not the whole of getsatisfaction, but that seems to be sold to Sprinklr. Akai wasn’t active on it for 4 or 5 weeks (and they removed the link on their website) so it was pretty much a dead issue tracker anyway.

Yeah one of the dudes from Akai posted on Facebook earlier that Get Satisfaction basically up and shut down on them with no warning heh. They're working on something new according to him..

Yes I just saw that, however I see plenty of other getsatsifaction forums still up and running. They've changed corporate ownership, but appear to be still actively running the service. Do a search on google for "site:getsatisfaction.com" and you'll get 1000s of active forums. Numark and Akai are the only ones I've found to be 'retired' so far.

So I managed to find a couple of others that have been retired in the past few days, so it looks like getsatisfaction are winding things down a few sites at a time, or maybe only maintaining some of the really big ones (IMDB forum is still running for example).

The weird part is they seemed to have stopped responding to the board a few weeks ago though. Eliza, their one rep, has been MIA for a bit. Maybe she was fired or cant work remotely or something? Maybe Akai gave up on their forum and moved her to covering phones and email instead, who knows. Some of the users there tended to go overboard when it came to issues and bugs, along with not getting a 2 second reply from Akai Support, or features they thought their MPC should have but didn't and they were going to blow up Akai if they didn't give them what they wanted, etc..

Last fm were apparently given one day notice, and no option to export the forum data
