2 months since I ordered an MPC One

anyone knows another similar device I could order , from another company ?

Guitar Center, B&H, Musicians Friend all have them in stock and ready to ship.

Akai Force (more expensive, but very decent price) , digitakt (a bit pricey) or Maschine ,used mpc touch ,with a laptop .

You ordered an MPC, it doesn't show up - and you blame the MPC?
What am I not getting here; shouldn't you blame the store?

Maybe look on the second hand market and if you can get a good deal then cancel your order?

Stupid 2nd hand market, it's ridiculous, outrageous!

I mean... prices on Reverb are a bit crazy... especially when you have to factor in shipping too.

That's because when you sell on Reverb, regardless of whether it is used or new, you lose quite a bit to Reverb's fees as a seller.

And meanwhile Phil still didn't get his get his MPC One.

Not as much as ebay's 10% fee though (who also tax the buyer now)
But yes, because production and availibilty have slowed down, the prices have gone up or at least held pretty steady on the used market.

Indeed, eBay is more expensive, and not even geared towards musicians (hence why I prefer Reverb). That said, just got an email from Reverb this morning - they're raising their seller fees from 3.5% to 5% (and of course, then there's PayPal fees). You also pay tax via Reverb as well.

Ahhh well, the march of progress...

Some of the recent changes with Reverb you have to wonder how much people were scamming, how much the changes are to insure consistent function, and then how much is just $$$$.

I've used Reverb a fair amount myself, and have really appreciated the experience far more than Ebay for buying and selling music gear, but watching it develop I am left wondering how long before it will just be another auction site.

Pretty safe to say it's just another auction site, geared towards music & slightly 'better' than ebay. Prices on most items are rediculous, so any kind of fairly priced item goes pretty quick. One nice feature is their pricing graph which lets you see recent price fluctuation, but they pretty much look like roller coasters.
