I got myself a few more expansions the other day but they dont show any content in the MPC software - like programs, samples, key groups.

I installed them from the installation package and then exported them to my MPC using the software- removed them, did the same process again - didnt work at all - all the same result.

Standalone obviously works as well as browsing them on the MPC itself when the MPC software is open.

these are the first ones to ever do this - anyone similar experience?
its MSX Soulful Instruments-1.0.2 and Jupiter Rising-1.0.2 I am still on MPC 2.8 wondering if anyone else has that problem?

cheers

What drive(s) do you have connected to your MPC in standalone? Are you sure you exported the content properly?

You can check by verifying that on your MPC drive you have an "Expansions" folder, and inside it you should be able to see at least one directory with content in it... something like

<drive>:/Expansions/<expansion name>/Preview

standalone works fine as it doesnt look for any references but browses the directory - its in computer mode where it should show the programs, project, sequence, sample as well as an overall counter for the relevant area that you select - but nada ...

looking at the expansion.xml typically helps in those scenarios it shows the working directory as:
<directory>com.akaipro.mpc.expansion.jupiterrising</directory>

but it exports to Jupiter Rising - typically when this happens I just changed the directory to the export directory, remove the jsons and have it re-index - that works - except in this case ...

renaming the directory the the requested one - doesnt work either ...

I had this happen to me with a previous version of the software. Don't remember which one. I left the software open for a while without doing anything and they all eventually loaded correctly. Try toggling back and forth between Program and Sample to see if anything changes.

I have both of those expansions and they work fine in the 2.8.1 software on OSX. Jupiter Rising shows 128 programs with 3701 samples. MSX shows 63 programs with 350 samples.

thanks bud - got it - basically what I had to do - run the MPC software without the MPC drive attached so it doesnt see any expansions, then close the MPC app, connect the MPC again, start the software - so it rebuilt the index - now its working as expected on 2.8 - still not comfortable to upgrade to 2.8.1 ...
