Mpc x notes merging when recording

I can’t find anyone on the web with this same problem. Although I’ve had it before some time ago on my mpc studio. This seems to only affect controller mode and only when actually striking the pads themselves. It also has only seemed to affect drum programs or the mpc expansions not vst plugins. When I strike let’s say a hi hat, snare or kick the next pad strike of the same pad will then merge the “notes”. For example: I can hit a kick and then when I hit the kick again let’s say a whole bar afterwards, It will show up as one long note as if all I did was hold the pad down for a whole bar. Although it’s not as simply explained like this because it behaves a little different with each pad strike while recording, this is the best way I can describe my issue. Would a complete uninstall fix this problem you think. Even IF it does that seems a bit extreme for just one little issue. Although it has me all but completely setting the new 2000$ piece of equipment I just bought to the side. Workflow is killed with just one small hiccup and this seems ridiculous.
