Greetings. Thankfully I don't usually have issues with studio hardware but I thought I'd give this forum a shot before I send this unit back (hopefully hassle free). I purchased a brand new MPC Live ii a couple days ago. I was enjoying making beats on it and have no major gripes of how it was designed, generally speaking. However, just a few hours ago the unit froze while I was writing some automation parameters on a track. When I restarted the unit the pads or buttons would not illuminate, the home screen would flash on and off and all physical buttons and on screen buttons are not responsive. There are no SD cards or external SSDs loaded. I have tried restarting the unit a dozen times but I just get the same thing over and over again.

Sorry if a similar problem has already been posted in the forum but I did a search for 15 minutes and I had no luck finding anyone else with this specific problem on a live ii unless I missed it? Am I ignorant and don't know some super top secret AKAI shortcut to fix this or should I just send it back? Honestly, it seems messed up to me. In theory, I would love to get another one but this is kind of a freaky thing to happen for an 1000+ purchase. Maybe I just got really unlucky this time?!?!

Much thanks in advance. I posted this on reddit with a video that shows the home screen flashing on and off.

Send it back and get a new one, definitely faulty so don't mess around trying to find a fix. UK right? Just go straight to the retailer you purchased it from, either get a refund or arrange for an exchange for a new, sealed unit. Don't accept a repair, don't get fobbed off with any excuses, the unit is a dud.
