Loving the MPC One...Addictive! Could easily ditch the X

To be honest, I wouldn't of bought the X if I bought the One first. Only the 3.5mm headphone jack and lack of Bluetooth/Wifi are minor annoyances. But at this price point, I'm more than happy with it. Bought a battery pack and some other stuff:

So what made you buy a One when you have the X

All those guys buying battery's with their ones basically want a live no?

Most mobile producers will have a battery pack already so.....I think the general smaller footprint will appeal some some too.

To be honest, I only use the X in controller mode to access vsts. Sometimes I work away from home, so had my eye on the One because of the price.

Looked at the Live....Just prefer the form factor of the One. The One reminds me of my old blue 1000 (minus the dodgy pads) lol

You're using the 100 watt AC outlet with your One's power supply, I hope? The DC voltages that the Omni 20+ supplies will lessen the life of your One if you go DC...

For those who are interested, here's some of the cost breakdown of mpBanga's setup (in USD):

$699 - MPC One
$249 - Omni 20+ battery (must use AC outlet and your MPC One power supply)
$27.99 - TP Link TL-MR3020 Travel Router (no longer sold here, but equivalents are available)
$25.00 - random cheap Bluetooth speaker that has an audio input

So that's roughly ~$1000 USD for 85% of the functionality of the MPC Live 2. Not too shabby, though a bit clunky (I'll stick to my MPC Live 2)..

Glad to see you're happy with your MPC One - it's a great entry level MPC. Maybe throw your X up for sale? You can easily cover the cost of all of your current equipment investment by selling it.

Fair point! I never said it was cheap lol. I still prefer the One over the Live 2, but that's just a personal choice. Yes, currently the mpc one is connected via 100w AC to the Omni

Lol, no. Live has a really weird form factor, squishy buttons and a completely useless arm-rest

Did some testing with the Omni 20+ powerbank. The MPC One seems to draw 12.69w on AC and only 7.64w - 7.92w on DC. Also, I noticed, the Omni 20+ gets a lot warmer when powering the mpc One on AC rather than DC. Its interesting......

Some Youtube guys on are running off a small 12v camera battery. Someone with access to a lab said the mpc One is fine running off the said battery....

I guess, regarding battery pack usage, its who your prepared to believe.....If theres any scientists in here, please chime in!

Also wondering, once the MPC Live 2 battery goes bad, are you able to replace it? Has anyone thought about that?
