Hi,
I know that you can safely plug a mono TS cable on TRS input ,but I am not sure about the outputs.
Some equipment state clearly to not plug TS on TRS outputs, some others can autodetect and run fine.
For now I just use the headphones ...
Does anyone has info specific for the MPCs ?

All 1/4" line outputs on the MPC Live, One and X are balanced TRS. You can use unbalanced TS cables and they'll work fine, however; you may have a greater chance of ground loop hum, etc. YMMV.. Regardless, you won't damage anything.

I want to skip mixer and connect a cheap usb interface (rca) for the ipad (as fix, looper, synth module) . . Actually I ordered a cheap adapter for the ipad to use the mic in as line/instrument. If it doesn’t sound completely s*** ,I’ll use that instead in mono .
. I wish the One could support Bluetooth midi to get rid of midi cables.... Fewer the better ;)

Certainly not ! At least Akai could support network midi on iOS. Strange they chose to do their own implementation since Bluetooth midi is already on Live and X

Both Ableton Link (over WiFi) and Bluetooth MIDI on my Live 2 work fine as far as I can tell. Latency really isn't an issue at all, IMHO. That said, YMMV...
