Midi notes get stretched when they are repeated

Hello, I need help.

When I record a note twice in a track the first note gets extended all the way to the 2nd time that it was played.

For example, I record a C midi note on Bar 1, Beat 1. This is only a quarter note.

Later in the same recording I play a C note on Bar 6, Beat 1. The first C note gets extended all the way to the 2nd C.

This only happens to notes played on my keyboard and not the MPC X pads. I even tested it by recording a track using both the keyboard and the pads and only the keyboard notes get extended when they are repeated.

Please help me. I have to edit the midi notes every time and it is so annoying. What am I doing wrong??

Firmware version? It doesn't happen on my Mpc One on v2.8.1...

Not to be dumb but...

It sounds like it might be a midi loop or something else causing a stuck note.

Can you explain if you are using standalone or software... what plugins you are using and what gear you have and how it is hooked up?

I am using an Aruria Keylab 61 mk2 keyboard with an MPC X (v.2.8.1), a 2018 Mac mini, the MPC Software and mostly Aruria V Collection plugins.

I wish I could post a screenshot but I'm not able to figure that out.

Just want to be clear. Only the notes that are played 2 or more times (from the keyboard) are stretched. All other notes that are only played once OR from the pads are not affected and remain as played/recorded.

The first note (before the repeated note) ends up getting stretched and overlapping the repeated note.

So we are talking about the software , not standalone.
As a first step I’d disconnect the midi cables going from&to the X and leave only the usb cable of the Arturia going to the Mac.
It might cause double triggering or even midi feedbacks resulting in unpredictable side effects on the software but I suppose that it would be affecting all events .Worth checking on list event view if the notes are doubled

I use the same trick on my keyboard .Connected to laptop via usb and use the midi out to the MPC, so no need to replug anything.
Now you can reconnect them , but on the software disable in the preferences every MPC midi input port and on the Arturia
