When I go to the Q-Link Edit area on the MPC One and hit the "SCREEN" button on the bottom, basically all I see is text that says "Q-Links are fixed to the controls of the mode you are in":

Does this mean that you can't edit what parameters the Q-Links control on various screens? I was hoping I'd be able to customize what the Q-Links do on the main screen, the grid screen etc.

And if so, why is the "SCREEN" button even there on that row with "PROJECT", "PROGRAM", etc.? Is it different on the Live or the X?

You can't assign the parameters , hopefully Akai will replace the 'screen' page with 'custom' on edit mode, worth sending a feature request
Force got a Macros feature ,so maybe MPCs will get that on future update

He wants to change the default qlink action for the current page to organize them
For example ,for me , it would be more useful ,on sample edit mode to assign
sample start with zoom and scroll function on the first row of qlinks
Or in the Grind mode replace track level with length ....

Most parameters are not available on other pages, only on screen mode and they are fixed according to Akai's preference

And those preferences are often inconsistent. The mix control for FX plugins likes to move around for example.

Overall Q-links really are a mess. I get there is difficulty trying to organize all those parameters into something palatable for everyone. This is exactly why they need to be 100% user customizable.
