So I have a song on my USB. Its a full song but I want the first 20 seconds. Ive been reviewing YouTube videos on how to sample but cant find any that explains how to from a USB drive. I tried loading the song on a pad but it loads the whole song and I cant seem to use that song in the sampler to use. Anyone know how to sample from a USB flash drive?

lmao this video is reminding me to finally get back to reading the mpc bible. I've got it but I haven't read much of it yet.

Go into sample edit and chop up the parts of it that you want.
KEEP what you want, DISCARD the rest.
How to CHOP, DISCARD and KEEP is detailed in the manual.

Thanks, Im gonna look over the manual. The only thing is, how I load the song in the sampler. When I fo to the sampler it doesnt recognize any song. I was able to load the whole song in a pad but from there thats the trouble to chop it. Ill figure it out I guess

The USB stick does not have a line out on it so sampling it may be a bit difficult to accomplish.

Load the mp3 on your usb stick into your mpc just like you would any other sound.

I got it. I went to my file folder, I selected load, then went into my sample edit and from there chopped it up. Then I hit convert and it became a drum program. Super easy. Thanks :-)
