Hey guys, need a little help...
Tried looking in the bible to see if this is covered, what I’m trying to do is export a full song to ALS, after trying multiple times, it just seems to export the tracks I’ve exploded, but not the sequence order. Am I correct in thinking that currently this can’t be done? I’ve converted to sequence in Song mode, then exploded drums, export as ALS, I do get maybe 6 tracks, but no midi, or sequential order. I’m on 2.8.1, MPC Live & Win 10 Live 10.
Cheers for any assists.

It should be one long sequence and every sound in the programs should be a separate track.
There should be options for exporting the midi too. It’s been a bit but I never had any real issues exporting my stems, well once I did something but the error was in the song mode itself not the export. I think I hit record or overdub with the song playing or something similar.

From song mode, you need to export the song to a sequence (convert>seq) which will put the whole song onto a new sequence, and you can then export that sequence as an als file.

Also, in case you didn't know, you can export the stems as audio and midi separately, and you can then merge the two in ableton. The way I work these days is to sketch out ideas in the MPC, export the drums as audio and the rest as MIDI, then use my superior instruments in ableton to play the MIDI files.

Thanks for all your help guys. I’ve made some progress with the methods you’ve suggested, & they were very helpful.
I think I may have underestimated the limitations of the Live, but If nothing else, I’ll stick to exporting stems & build tracks that way. :worthy: :worthy:
