YOUR MPC RECOVERED FROM AN INTERNAL ERROR.

Hi everyone, yesterday I was scrolling and listening on my Mpc-X to some of the old sounds from the Akai 3000 library (snd extension files). Via usb stick, connected in the back of the Mpc-X.

The majority of files loads up right and I can hear them right in the audition preview, there is some files that as soon as I scroll to them this message comes out:

YOUR MPC RECOVERED FROM AN INTERNAL ERROR.

After that the unit turn off and restart by itself.

Someone of you has experienced that?
Do you think is an hardware problem or just the snd file corrupted?

I think corrupted file or software bug. You can try to load the file with MPC Software/Beats.
I got some issue with old file format too.

I had this and think it's hardware/software related since the files play fine in my other sampler.

Yeah its effectively a BSOD, at least when that happens its aware of it. This past couple weeks, I think the project Im working on 'went bad' at some point. Ive had it just freeze up on me and had to hold the power button in to restart it. Usually freezes when I do something like copy/paste in the grid, and the touch screen and transport/menu buttons will stop responding. I can still hit hit the bank buttons and pads but after a minute those freeze up too. Few days ago gave up and redid the whole song from scratch. Opened up the crashing one in the MPC software and just copied everything by hand on the MPC in a new project.

I've just tryed to play the sound from the MPC software on my mac and it does the same thing, the software shuts down.. so yes it is the files that for some reason became corrupted.

That's makes me breath.. it should means that my MPC-X is not a faulty device.. Am I right?

So the software that's basically the same code as the mpc crashes and you think it's the file that's wrong? Sorry but I don't think so. The .snd files that shut down my MPC work flawless in another sampler. Did you even try to use them in another system?

Hi, I've got what you're saying.. I'm not a very technical guy.. So do you think I should bring the device to the reseller where I've bought it to change it with another one that works right, or it is some bug related to the software that no matter what I must accept in some way?

Software issue for sure. I had it in my one and have the same problem with my live.
