I'm not selling my Live anymore. This new drumsynth is the shizzy. Loads of fun for future times and with the q-link sliders it's easy to quickly get to cool and interesting results. I'm also positively surprised about the quality of the sound, especially in comparision some other drumcomputers i have (behringer rd-8 and roland tr8s).

Qlinks are great, until you get to the send and fx mixer.

It's a solid enough synth that I'll concur in that it'll probably be something I use as a reason to offload some other drum machines.

Yeah, I was going to get a RD-8, but not now. This DrumSynth will suffice. The only thing missing is the choke groups, but I got a workaround for that.

The RD-8 Does sound different and with the filter you also can get some nice result. Because everything is hands on, it is a bit quicker, but you have much less options with the drumsynth. But if you have the mpc, you wouldn't need it. But, i won't my rd-8.

What's the workaround for choke groups?

My guess would be ninja speed muting and soloing.

Sample the hi-hats from the DrumSynth plug-in and put them into a regular program or turn “ONE-SHOT” off and draw in the notes.

Great, thanks.
Strange though that not even open/closed hi hat mutes each other.

But the real question is, can you fill a 4 bar loop with it?

Haha, I really struck a nerve there didn't I? What a sad little human being you are :) De-railing other topics. You must have a lot going in your life!

... except for a 4-bar loop.. ;-)
