Hi all,

In MPC One

Let's say I want to prefill a 32 bar sequence with a drum track, midi record a keyboard track on top of that , and do multiple takes on the keyboard track (because I suck at keyboard).

* Can I somehow sequence a single bar in the drum track and then copy it 32 times to make the sequence? Could you sketch out the workflow?

* In the process of recording the keyboard track (overdub?), is there a shortcut ish way to (1) clear that track of all my previously recorded notes and (2) jump to the front of the sequence so I can try again? Again, could you sketch the work flow?

Sorry if this seems like so basic a question as to be stupid, I still haven't gotten my MPC One, I kind of want to make sure it will work for this practice case before I spend the 700.00.

Thanks so much!

Quickest way to do what you want (though there are several ways)

Start sequence as a one bar track and record out your drums.

From sequence section use the pencil and then select x2 to double it to 2 bar, then 4 bar, then 8 bar, then 16 bar, then 32 bar.

Then record your keyboard section.

If you want to overdub your keys... just hit the overdub button while it is playing (or overdub/play start at the same time)

To quickly clear the track of notes select the track and press erase.
