Delete midi data from midi file

For backing tracks in my band I use midi files with the MPC Live. Midi data is sent to a workstation who plays the backing tracks.

When a midi file is imported, first thing I want to do is delete all midi data like program changes, volume settings etc from the file. So to keep only the notes. This is easy to do in the MPC, but some settings just the MPC just doesn't delete. Even when you click "Delete"the event is not removed.

Does somebody know are free PC tool to remove midi data inside a midi file except the notes?

Have you tried using the list view editor in the MPC Software? I'm pretty sure it will delete anything that might have been left over from the 'erase' screen, just make sure you select the correct view at the bottom right of the list editor ('view: note, View: Automation etc)
