Sup guys? Been making beats for years. Came from DAWS. Only been working with MPC's for a little over a year. Started with live and then bought an X. Anyway, every so often I really want to drop my track out and trigger a vocal sample that supersedes all other sounds including the FX tails of the other tracks. I'm going for a DJ-like crossfade effect for just a second or two. On ableton, I could so this effortlessly in 2 seconds. On the MPC? Can't figure out the best way. As it is now, I have to solo the track that has the sample I want to isolate and also automate the send fx to a value of zero for all the other sounds that are using FX so the reverb tails aren't still audible when I'm playing the solo'd sound. I feel there's a probably a much easier and obvious way to achieve this effect but I just don't know it. Any help would be appreciated.

You could probably do something with sub mixes and midi... but I feel like you'd want some kind of dedicated control for that... the q-links probably aren't going to be the best here.

I'll chew on this one and see if any other bizarre thoughts shake out :D
