MPC X – OLED text bug

Hi,

So i just got the X and it's really great but I have this issue with the OLED screen text.

It works fine in all modes except when in step sequencer. A user had the same issue back in May but it's unclear if it was solved or not viewtopic.php?f=48&t=196999

I've already contacted the Akai support but wanted to check with you since that can take a while. I've installed both 2.9, back to 2.7 firmware, and then back again with no result. I've also reset the settings.

Anyone else have this problem? Does it work for you?

I loaded up my MPC X to check for you and I have the same bug. it actually doesnt look exactly like yours, the "V" on velocity on mine is also disformed but mine has a slightly different shape.

Someone mentioned that they had the same bug but that it somehow "disappeared". Seems so weird!

Anyhow, Guess I can relax that it's not a faulty unit then.

Have to say that it’s pretty weird that they’ve released multiple OS versions with major updates while leaving this bug. Can’t imagine it’s a big issue to solve but who knows...

Do you think they plan on just ignoring it?

Yeah that’s true, it doesn’t. It’s more on the annoying side...
Might take a detail oriented person out of the flow though

Things like that ARE annoying. The “q-link delay when twisting” bug flowers with my head also.

I feel you man. That q'link one is definitely the one that drives me nuts. and specially since it seems to happen on the knobs I use the most (like the the zoom one when editing samples) so I am mildly concern that my knob may be going bad altogether. Glad to hear it may actually be a bug more than a knob going bad. *fingers crossed*

Haha yup OCD is not out of the question here!

Yeah I've had the Qlink delay issue on both Live and X, and have heard other people with it as well so definitely seems like a bug...
